They were, however, spoken by web developer and DIY nuclear fusion reactor-builder Mark Suppes, so it's really an example of an impressive thirst for knowledge, rather than a terrifying lack thereof. Suppes has been building his own nuclear fusion reactor for the past four years, drawing no small amount of attention from his Brooklyn neighbours, local police and the world's (real) physicists. Speaking at Wired 2012, he explained that he was hooked on the idea of building one after learning about Robert Bussard's Polywell reactor, developed in secret for the Navy for 20 years.
