Tim McCallan was the recipient of the Unsung Hero Award this year from the Education & Assistance Corporation at their annual Spring Luncheon, March 24, 2010. The Education & Assistance Corporation (EAC) is a not-for-profit company that has programs to protect children, create opportunities for seniors, promote healthy families and communities, empower people through employment and education, and provide alternatives for people with substance abuse and mental health needs. Under Mr. McCallan's leadership, EAC's Food Pantry has reaped the benefits of the company's annual food drive and financial support for the past nine years. Each year the company contributes more than 15,000 food items, along with a financial contribution, to the Food Pantry which supplies the Meals-On-Wheels program. The EAC would like to recognize Mr. McCallan with the Unsung Hero award for his generosity and dedication to this cause over the past nine years. The EAC's annual Spring Luncheon is one of their largest fund raisers where they honor members of the Long Island business community who have been monumental supporters of the EAC for many years
