LONGSTANDING Brexiteer Sir Bill Cash has demanded answers from Remainers within the Labour Party attempting to thwart Brexit as negotiations rumble on. The Conservative MP for Stone insisted British voters had the right to know why, despite the historic referendum result, opposition Remainers are still voting against the implantation of Brexit. Sir Bill’s House of Commons rant comes after 18 Labour representatives in the European Parliament backed a non-binding motion put forward by Guy Verhofstadt to stop Brussels opening post-Brexit trade talks with the UK. Two Tories, Richard Ashworth and Julie Girling, were suspended after voted in support of the resolution in Strasbourg declaring that “sufficient progress” had not been made for Brexit talks to move on to trade. Sir Bill posed his own question to the Prime Minister after Theresa May, yesterday, confirmed preparations were accelerating to get the country set for a new role outside the bloc. Mrs May’s stark warning to Brussels said Britain is poised to be an “independent trading nation” immediately if talks on an EU deal fail. Sir Bill praised Mrs May for setting out the accountability on the Commons in her recent Florence speech, declaring it matters above all else. He added: “The opposition voted against the Withdrawal and Repeal Bill and the repeal of the European Communities act 1972. “Does she agree that our voters have every right to hear a public explanation from the opposition Remainers and reversers as to why, despite the referendum vote, they still subscribe to the EU’s undemocratic system of lawmaking, to a closed-door council of ministers where decisions are taken behind closed doors, largely in secrecy, which contrasts so vividly with what goes on in this house.” Mrs May responded, announcing she agreed with Sir Bill and “right to point the finger at the opposition”. The Prime Minister added: “They claim they’re going to support the result of the referendum but they vote against the very bill that will put that into place. “Not only did they do that, but in voting against the EU Withdrawal Bill they have voted against environmental regulations into UK law, and to bringing workers’ rights into UK law. “The Labour Party voting against bringing workers’ rights into UK law, it’s this Government that is supporting them!” Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn had already faced ridicule after he called on the Government to give way to allow Brexit negotiations to be handled by his team. He said his government in waiting and could provide the “strong negotiating team”. The Commons erupted with laughter as the Conservative benches mocked Mr Corbyn, one Tory backbencher could be heard shouting “who’s that?” in response. -~-~~-~~~-~~-~- Please watch: "FROSTY MORNING!
